Truely Recommended

This book has been invaluable to me. It contains a short background to each of the books of the bible - something that is great to really understand the context and situation the original author was writing into and thus truely appreciate what his intentions in writing were. There is also a section for each book on how its themes can be relevant today. One chapter of this book detailed the background history to the times between the NT & OT, which made interesting reading! Overall the book is easy to read, quick to use for reference, and a great support to quiet times, teaching or just general interest! I'd truely recommend it.
