Author Information

Tremper Longman III (PhD, Yale University) is the Robert H. Gundry Professor of Biblical Studies and the chair of the religious studies department at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California. He is the author of many articles and books, including How to Read the Psalms, How to Read Proverbs and Literary Approaches to Biblical Interpretation, Old Testament Commentary Survey and several commentaries. He is co-editor of the Dictionary of Biblical Imagery, and Old Testament editor for the revised Expositor's Bible Commentary.

The late Raymond B. Dillard was Professor of Old Testament language and literature at Westminster Theological Seminary.
